Troubled Times

Written by

Errol Walsh/Dave Luke

Lord I know the way can be rough
And sometimes I wonder is my faith strong enough
Temptation's waiting around every bend
Lord won't you reach out and lend me a hand

Show me a light in the darkness
And I'll follow wherever it shines
'Cos I need you beside me
In these troubled times

Seems I always get caught in two minds
I got one foot forward, one dragging behind
One eye on salvation, one eye on the door
And I've come unstuck at this crossroads before

And I'm tired of running from shadows
Tired of hustling for nickels and dimes
Lord I need you beside me
In these troubled times

I've drifted away from the light
I fled into the darkness like a thief in the night
Like a shadow that runs from the breaking of day
My courage deserted me, melted away

And I'm tired of running from shadows

Tired of hustling for nickels and dimes

Lord I need you beside me

In these troubled times

So show me a light in my darkness

And I'll follow wherever it shines

'Cos I need you beside me

In these troubled times

Yes I need you beside me

In these troubled times
